The “Music of Creation” takes the reader on an imaginative and unusual science fiction romp.

Authors Paul Knight and Chris Allen reveal the Earth as the only planet in the universe whose inhabitants can create and perform music. However, there are alien species that are very interested in Earth's musicians.

Authors Knight and Allen draw memorable characters as they keep readers on edge. They deftly guide readers back and forth from orbiting spaceships to music maker Ryan Reilly’s home in Ireland. A special Protector has been assigned to protect Ryan, as he is targeted by the Abductors. Will his protector be successful?

What must be done to ensure music continues to exist on Earth?

I really like this book. The concept of music as a narcotic that is only created on earth, but has entranced the entire galaxy, sets up a conflict between two groups of aliens: Protectors and Abductors. The real tension is happening over the heads of the human race, with most of us being a little clueless. ... I know I did and it's not a genre I usually read! Looking forward to more from this creative writing team.

The pacing can occasionally linger in the novel’s more contemplative spaces, which detracts somewhat from the overall momentum, but those quieter moments allow the story’s philosophical questions to resonate: what does it mean to share humanity’s gifts with the cosmos—and is it possible for connection to transcend species? The authors probe such ethical dimensions with care, and the storyline resists easy answers, delivering genuine narrative jolts without sacrificing thematic weight.
